A pedestal table clad in straw marquetry — a diamond inscribed within the circle, composed strand by strand from the palest blond to an almost black brown.

Everything begins at the centre: a point of natural straw, barely golden, from which the tones unfold in successive layers — honey, amber, raw sienna and mahogany — before deepening towards the four points of the diamond. As the viewer moves around the piece, the gradient appears to reverse and the centre seems to glow.

The apron and turned stem, finished in matt black, provide a quiet base without sheen, leaving the top alone to catch the light.

A functional piece conceived for a living room or entrance hall, with a sculptural presence.
